Description

Need for Speed: Undercover is the 12th installment of the series and puts the player in the shoes of an undercover cop who needs to infiltrate and destroy an international crime syndicate by getting to their leader - a man crazy behind the wheel and a very fast driver. So the player enters the city with the goal to earn enough reputation and respect in the syndicate to get to him.

Of course this is not done by just walking up to someone and asking nicely. Instead the player freely roams the big city in his cars and accepts missions at every corner. These range from simple races to Burnout-inspired "Destroy as much as possible" goals. A completely new mode is the Highway Battle in which the player needs to put 300 meters between him and his opponent with the main enemy being the incoming rush hour traffic. Other missions require the player to bring a specific car in the best possible condition to a garage. Since the player is undercover, the police are always watching him and make his life more and more difficult as the wanted level of the car increases.

Successful races not only earn the player reputation to unlock new challenges and new parts of the city but also bring cash which can be invested in new cars or in the tuning of old ones. In addition one of the ten stats of the character automatically advances granting him more money for a win or increasing his ability to brake.

After careful digging, it was determined that this is the best, the most "bug-free" & the most mod-friendly version of them all

- Added XtendedInput v1.22 (Optional, read the readme inside gamedir! The controls are not customizable in the game (the game CRASHES when trying to configure the controls with XI), only in gamedir\scripts\NFSU_XtendedInput.ini, it also kills DInput support for older gamepads!)

- 4GB RAM patch

- Manual and game guide are included in gamedir\~DOX folder

- (Bonus) Added NFS VltEd v4.6 in gamedir for when you decide to get your hands dirty with modding the game files

- The game now runs in borderless fullscreen mode

Extra notes:

- The Collector's Edition content and cars are unlocked thanks to the Extra Options mod (checked and verified), there are separate mods on the internets for the same thing, however they require patching the game files and NO game files have been modified except the main executable which is patched for 4GB LAA, so that way you can mod it all you want and when you fuck up you can only blame yourself about it

- My previous repack v4 had the audio files for different languages but the funny thing is that only Russian one worked properly when you changed it in the registry, all other audio language files were the English variant, therefore, the final installation size was 11+ GB. I checked them all, they all had the same file size and the same SHA256. I have no idea how I fucked up on that one, so, mi skusi
