It turns out that Jaffar is alive and back for vengeance. Banished from the palace, the unfortunate Prince must travel to faraway lands and find a way to defeat the villain.

Prince of Persia 2 is, like its predecessor, a cinematic platformer. Much of the gameplay is reminiscent of the first game, focusing on precise jumping puzzles, swordfighting, and overcoming many hazards in order to stay alive. Swordfighting is more prominent and features situations where several enemies attack the Prince at once. Reinforcements may arrive after the Prince has eliminated all visible enemies. Like its predecessor, the game must be completed within a time limit. …

Alone in the Dark 2

Description

In Alone in the Dark 2, you take the role of detective Edward Carnby, one of the two main characters in the original Alone in the Dark. Carnby is now called upon to investigate a bootlegger named One Eyed Jack after an old detective colleague named Stryker attributes Jack to the kidnapping of young Grace Saunders. Stryker attempts to infiltrate Jack’s dilapidated mansion of Hell’s Kitchen and rescue the girl, only to disappear himself. That’s where Carnby comes in.

Carnby soon learns that Jack and his gangsters are really 15th-century pirates who gained immortality after Jack joined forces with Elizabeth Jarret, a Voodoo witch. However, the dark magic which keeps them immortal also requires Jack and his crew to regularly make human sacrifices (which explains Grace’s kidnapping).

Now Carnby must battle his way through Hell’s Kitchen and Jack’s army of Tommy-gun-wielding gangsters, searching for a way to break the spell and make them stay dead. …

SimCity Classic Enhanced

Description

The original Sim City game was a revelation to thousands of computer gamers. It was a game where you could really affect the outcome of the game by the way you built your city, and was the forerunner of simulation games to come.
Since then, the franchise has been expanded with Titles like Sim Ant, Sim Farm, Sim Isle and Sim Safari. Then, in 1995, MacPlay came out with Sim City Enhanced.
Like Sim City 2000 Special Edition, Sim City Enchanced includes quicktime movies showing you how your city is progressing. Reports from your city managers are interspersed with quicktime movies of your city’s residents responding to disasters, rioting, or just going about their daily lives.

However, it’s in the disasters where the movies really stand out. Shots of actual disasters are overlaid with the voice of the Sim News Anchorwoman reporting on the disaster. Occasionally, we get to see the Sims responding to the disaster, either by running away in terror or by rioting.
This is not to say that the enhanced version is totally without flaws. Every time you click on a button, the voice of the city manager tells you what you have chosen and how much it costs. Startling at first, after a while, her voice becomes incredibly annoying. …

SimFarm

Description

Simulating duties on a real farm in the contiguous United States, SimFarm puts players in charge of building up the land, placing the buildings, buying and selling livestock and planting crops. A weather and season system are in place as well, presenting the same kind of challenges found in a real-world farm. As with SimCity, there are disasters that can wreak havoc on the player’s farm. Tornadoes, droughts, pests, and dust storms are some of the events that can disrupt farm crops and harvests. There are four types of livestock in SimFarm, all of which have specific food requirements, need water, and breed new livestock. Animals’ value can be increased by making a barn available for their use.

SimFarm also has a small town included in its simulation. This town is reminiscent of SimCity in its form and function. The player may interact with the town occasionally by suggesting new tile types and joining competitions with livestock (such as sending in a prize pig to potentially earn a blue ribbon and a cash prize.) Suggesting that an airport be built in the town will usually cause its construction, thus unlocking the ability to buy and use a crop duster. …

The Lost Vikings

Description

Three Vikings, Eric the Swift, Olaf the Stout, and Baleog the Fierce, were kidnapped by the alien Tomator, the evil Croutonian ruler, who is collecting unique life forms to display in his gallery. The three Vikings will have to combine their unique skills to defeat Tomator, as well as a vast array of aliens, robots, giant snails, big lizards, and more.

The Lost Vikings is a side-scrolling platform puzzle game with a twist. Instead of one character who can jump, run, shoot, collect items, flip switches, and so on, there are three different characters, each with his own skills. Eric the Swift can jump, run and bash through walls with his tough helmet. Olaf the Stout has a shield which can block attacks, function as an air glider or as a step to stand on. Baleog the Fierce can shoot things with his arrows (including switches) or kill things with his sword. The player has to use the three Vikings as a team if he wants to get past the increasingly difficult levels and puzzles. …
