Drome Racers

Description

Drome Racers is a futuristic combat racing game based on the LEGO (Drome) Racers line of construction toys from 2002. Drome Racers features on- and off-road racing in vehicles that resemble their LEGO counterparts, with some designs being completely new.

The game focuses on the Career mode, where the player takes the role of Max Axel, the driver of the newly-formed Team Nitro, one of the six racing teams in Drome, a large elliptic racing arena with many different natural and urban surroundings. All drivers compete in a set of Multi Challenge Races (MCR), which are a series of connected races. At the start of each MCR, a drag race determines the pole position, while in all subsequent races, the position, and delay at which the driver approaches the starting line is determined by the results of the previous race. Hence, whoever wins the last race of an MCR, wins the MCR itself. There are 9 standard tracks available, and each one has A and B variations (up to half of the track can differ), and can be driven in forward or backward directions, resulting in 4 ways to drive on each track. Three MCR categories exist; Novice, Intermediate, and Expert, with the opening MCRs of each category unlocking new tracks. Different times of day and weather conditions are also featured. …

Antz Extreme Racing

Description

In Antz Extreme Racing, the characters of the movie Antz are bored and start a racing championship. Each character has eight individual courses and challenges they must take on; besides the initial two the rest has to be unlocked by finishing the game with another character. Like in most arcade racers there are various power ups to collect, e.g. rockets or protective shields. The game features four basic race types: driving the backs of larger bugs, running, flying on the backs of bugs, or surfing on a leaf.

The game also can be played in four-player split-screen multiplayer. …

Worms Blast

Description

Worms Blast is a puzzle game similar in concept to Puzzle Bobble, with several important distinctions and gameplay features taken from Worms games. Instead of releasing and matching bubbles, the player has to color blocks on a hexagonal grid. Unlike most Bust-A-Move variants, the player character can move right and left, sailing in a boat. Various weapons, such as bazooka, grenades, dynamite, and others, can be used to fire at the blocks, coloring them on impact. Like in the main, artillery-based Worms games, holding down the fire button increases the power of the weapon, affecting the distance it travels.

If the player hits a block that is either the same color as the missile fired, that block and any other same-colored blocks adjacent to it will be destroyed. Differently-colored blocks will not be affected by shooting at them; however, if they are held solely by a group of blocks of the same color, they will fall into the water when that group disappears. Blocks with rainbows on them can count as any color. Unlike Puzzle Bobble, there are no walls in single-player mode. If the player aims the weapon outside of the screen, a heavy object might fall on the player-controlled boat, damaging it. …

Conflict – Desert Storm

Description

Conflict Desert Storm is a first-person/third-person shooter (the perspective can be switched by pressing a button), in which the player controls a squad of four soldiers from either the British S.A.S or American Delta Force during the first Gulf War. It has ideas borrowed from the book Bravo Two Zero and other real missions from the war.

Missions are performed behind enemy lines and have specific objectives (infiltrate a base, destroy a SAM site, assassinate an opposing general, …). Team members can be sent orders (attack, retreat, follow, stay, …) or controlled individually. On the team is Bradley, the team leader, Conners, the heavy weapons man, Jones, the explosives and anti-tank expert, and Foley, the team sniper. Each soldier has different skills that improve as they kill more enemies and gain experience. This results in them doing a better or faster job (Foley will have more stable aiming or Jones will plant C4 faster as their skills increase). In some missions, the player drives tanks or jeeps around while other squad members man the guns on the vehicle. At the end of each mission, the soldiers can be awarded medals for their bravery

The game also features up to four-player co-op, each player controlling a soldier in the squad. …

This first in a trilogy follows Frodo and the fellowship as they begin their journey to Mount Doom, only to find that what lies ahead may be too much to handle.

The Xbox version, a 3rd person adventure, has you scaling the lands of middle earth in real time combat with a host of evil creatures to find your way past. Along the way, you will come across familiar characters that will aid or hinder your progress.

Unlike the movie trilogy, this adaption of the tale includes characters not seen on the big screen, including Tom Bombadil and others, as well as including many of the songs written by Tolkien as puzzles. …
