Get ready for hectic, fast paced action with Geometry Wars! Take the role of a lone spaceship as you combat swarms of assorted brightly colored shapes which attack you with their own different patterns. Description

Blast Thru is an arcade Breakout game. It features a campaign with forty levels where blocks need to be cleared by hitting them with the ball to progress to the next level. You have the aid of power-ups (some with a positive effect and others with a negative effect). As you progress through the levels, you keep on gaining more and more points until finally, when you die you can save your final score into the Hall of Scores (the top twenty scores are shown). The game features a level editor, which has the ability to build any kind of level featuring all the tile sets that are featured in the campaign. The last game feature is the ability to play against other people (up to eight others and on the same computer), in which you play the campaign. Once you die the campaign resets and starts all over again for the second player. At the end (once all players have finished their campaign), it shows all high scores and whoever obtained the highest score wins. …

Description

After Epic Megagames’ two releases Epic Pinball and Extreme Pinball, Apogee finally got their own pinball game in late 1997, Balls of Steel. It features five testosterone-packed tables, each with its own theme, missions, and special bonuses. Like the Epic games and the classic “21st Century” pinball games on Amiga, BoS has a top-down scrolling screen, with an animated dot matrix display at the bottom. It also features a full-table view. Very high scores are awarded with a “powerball” end bonus mode, and could be posted on the “WorldScores” net site (no longer available). Being a Windows game, all tables boast high-resolution graphics.

OutRun 2006 – Coast 2 Coast

Description

Like its predecessors, OutRun 2006 is an old-school arcade racer, which means that your cars don’t have realistic physics, don’t get damaged and have insanely fast speed.

Since this title is officially licensed by Ferrari, you drive with 15 original models from the DINO 246 GTS over the F430 to the all-new Enzo Ferrari. The heart of the game is the Coast 2 Coast mode in which you race against up to 5 AI players on 15 US themed tracks. In addition you have to impress different girlfriends. She tells you what she wants to see (a hard slide around a curve or a close take-over for example) and you have to perform it to win her heart.

There are 3 other game modes available in singleplayer: OutRun, Time Attack and OutRun2SP. In OutRun2SP you get access to 15 arcade tracks from the original OutRun 2. In OutRun however you need to drive your girlfriend through various checkpoints to the goal before the timer hits zero. In Time Attack you just have to beat the highscore of the current track. NYR – New York Race

Description

New York Race is game about future racing. Game is inspired by Luc Besson’s film “Fifth Element”. There are more than 30 high-tech flying machines to choose and pilot (including the notorious Taxi and the cool police car).

There are four different modes available in NYR, the main one being the Championship mode that takes place over four different categories; Qualification, Beginner, Pro and Expert. Other modes include Single Race, Time Attack and the rather cool Keirin mode, that eliminates the contestant in last place at every checkpoint until the last man remains.

In every race, you can pick up 4 elements which give you an added advantage: Water – leaves a liquid sphere behind you that slows your opponents down if they hit it, Fire – allows you to shoot a homing fireball at your opponents, Earth activates a temporary shield and Air – gives you a speed boost. 3 Dimensional action allows the player complete freedom of movement on a vertical and horizontal axis. SpongeBob SquarePants – Diner Dash

Description

SpongeBob SquarePants Diner Dash is a time management and waiter game featuring the famous cartoon character. It has gameplay mechanics very similar to Diner Dash, not surprising since it was co-developed by the same company. The player controls SpongeBob, setting tasks for him to perform his job duties at the Krusty Krab diner. Fish patrons and groups of customers arrive and wait to be seated at the left side of the screen. A hearts meter above their heads shows their satisfaction level, that slowly decreases while they wait making them eventually leave in anger when it runs out. They can be dragged and dropped with the mouse to one of the empty tables. The tables have multi-colored seats, that give extra points when matching the client’s color.

After seating at the tables, the customers start to peruse the menu, eventually raising their fins to make an order. The main objective is to serve them and collect their payment as fast as possible, to meet the minimum cash goal of each level before closing time. SpongeBob can carry two things at the same time, and the player can click on several places at once, setting a series of way points to take orders, deliver dishes, clean tables and accomplish other common catering tasks. …
