Description

Following the events of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, Raziel and Kain were trapped in the Serafan fortress. Separated by sudden events, Raziel was forced to retreat into the spectral realm, leaving Kain to escape from the Serafan on his own. Both must escape the predicament they find themselves in and fight back against those who would seek to use them as manipulations in a grander plot. From both heroes cry out shouts of defiance, and a thirst to find the revelations that have been buried in the world of Nosgoth.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance is a third-person action game with light puzzle-solving elements, combining concepts seen in both Blood Omen 2 and Soul Reaver 2. The story unfolds through chapters, focusing alternately on Kain and Raziel as they pursue their separate, though intertwined quests. Control of each character alternates between levels, however both are controlled from a behind-the-shoulder perspective. Description

One thousand five hundred years after the events of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, the vampire Kain’s decision at the end of that game has finally defeated the human kingdoms and brought the world of Nosgoth under his control. Ruling from a castle built on the Pillars of Nosgoth, Kain has established an empire of six vampire clans, each ruled by a lieutenant, the sons of Kain. Raziel was one such lieutenant but lost his position through the insolence of receiving a new evolutionary “dark gift”, the growth of feathery wings before his master had acquired it. Fearing that Raziel might one day surpass him, Kain tears off Raziel’s wings in a fit of rage and banishes him into the Abyss. There, Raziel is lost in time, dead and his body consumed. The Elder God recovers Raziel’s soul and rebuilds the broken body, not as a living vampire, but as a strange new creature of the underworld. Swearing revenge on Kain, Raziel now phases seamlessly between Nosgoth and its underworld, using his new powers to become a terrible reaver of souls…

Soul Reaver is a third-person perspective action game with puzzle-solving and some platforming elements. The game follows Raziel on his quest to purge the land of vampires and take revenge on Kain and his brothers, leaders of the six clans. The player views the environment from behind Raziel’s shoulder, moving him in any direction, climbing, attacking, jumping, and using specific abilities. Raziel can grip onto the edge of ledges and his torn wings allow him to glide gently downwards. He can also shift through the material world into the spectral realm at will but must find specific locations in order to shift back. Description

Following the events in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Raziel discovers a way back through time and encounters one of the Circle of the Nine, Mobius the timestreamer. Mobius urges Raziel to continue his quest for revenge and destroy the vampire lord Kain. Raziel reluctantly agrees and heads off to discover the knowledge and weapons that will allow him to achieve his goal.

Soul Reaver 2 is a third-person action game with puzzle-solving and some platforming elements, similar to the previous installment. The game world is viewed from behind Raziel’s shoulder; the player can move him in any direction, climb, attack, swim, jump and use specific abilities. Raziel retains his special moves from the previous game, which include gripping onto the sides of ledges, climbing walls, and gliding downwards with his torn wings. Like in the previous installment, Raziel can travel between the material world and the spectral realm at will, gaining access to new areas by exploiting distortions that exist between the mirrored worlds. Mankind left Earth 80 years ago in order to build a life on the planet E.D.N. III. As the colony grew, humanity encountered The Akrids, a bug-like alien race that declared war on the humans for intruding on their territory. The humans didn’t have any effective means to defend themselves and had to retreat from the planet. During the course of the retreat, a young man named Adam had his father killed by a Akrid named “Green Eye”. Scientists soon discovered that the Akrids were a source of precious thermal energy, stored inside their bodies. This needed resource gave humanity an economical reason to fight back. On Earth, the Vital Suit was developed, a heavy weapon mech-like vehicle, Returning to E.D.N. III, Adam is among the many Vital Suit pilots, and seeks to avenge his father’s death.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is a 3rd-person shooter. Controlling Adam, the player makes war on the Akrid armies. Adam’s main objective is to destroy Akrid hives, and ultimately defeat “Green Eye” but there will be several goals for him to complete along the way. Adam can hold two weapons and one type of grenade at the same time. In addition, Adam can find different Vital Suit upgrades to give himself new abilities. Since it’s very cold on the planet, thermal energy is needed to survive and restores health energy. In order to get it, Adam can either activate Data Posts or destroy things that have it in them like exploding barrels or enemy Akrids. The Lost Vikings 2 – Norse by Norse West

Description

After escaping from Tomator in The Lost Vikings, Erik the Swift, Olaf the Stout, and Baleog the Fierce have lived joyous and fruitful Viking lives. Then one day, after returning home from a fishing trip, the Vikings get captured by Tomator again. Tomator then calls upon a robotic guard to send them into the Arena, which falls short when a system failure happens. During the blackout, the three Vikings dismantle the robot piece by piece and wear its parts on their bodies, granting them new abilities. The three Vikings are then accidentally sent through time once again. Equipped with the new robotic gear, Erik, Olaf, and Baleog must journey through each level to find their way back home. Along the way, they befriend a werewolf named Fang and a dragon named Scorch, both of whom assist them in their quest.

The Lost Vikings 2 is a side-scrolling platform adventure in which the player alternates control of three of the five playable characters, guiding each of them one at a time from a designated start point in each level to the exit, collecting three specific items along the way. The game predetermines which characters are available in any specific level. Control may be swapped from character to character at any point. In the two-player cooperative mode, each player simultaneously controls one character and is allowed to change control to the third, unused character at any point. Every level is designed such that each character must contribute his unique skills to help the other two through to the end. Similarly, to finish the level, all three characters must reach the exit point with the three items in possession. The characters each have three health points which they can lose by getting hurt by enemies or by falling from great heights. Should any character run out of health points, he dies; gameplay will then continue with any remaining characters, but the level becomes unwinnable, and the player will eventually have to restart the level and try again (the game offers unlimited continues). …

After holding a bank and shooting guards, your two criminal buddies abandon you out in the middle of the desert, taking all the loot with them.

This is where you start the game: In a quiet desert town, almost broke, and with the FBI on your heels. You meet up with Lula, an aspiring ‘actress’, and together decide to make your ways to the top.

In the first part of the game you’re in the small town, making enough money in a few days to buy a new identity, and evade the advancing FBI net, by taking photos and films of Lula in the nearby hotel. Once you get enough money, you decide to go into proper business for yourselves.

The second part consists of you setting up a movie-making business, hiring and firing staff, generating film ‘plots’, setting up cutting and editing facilities, and haggling for the best distribution deals until you are able to be a distributor yourself. Build up money here and we advance to the final section of the game.

Having made it in the movie-business, you now set up sex stores across the country, dealing more in resource-management and advertising until you’re able to generate enough money to launch the Lula television satellite into orbit – the final aim of the game. …

Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler’s Green is a FPS prequel to the 2005 George A. Romero film. It is also the first game based on a George A. Romero property.

You are Jack, a hick farmer who wakes up to find a stranger on his property. The stranger is a zombie, the first of many he encounters in the game. Using whatever ranged and melee weapons he can find, Jack pummels the undead back to where they came from in the goriest fashion possible. He works his way through a number of typical Romero locales (50’s style hospital, cornfields, abandoned police station, loading docks, etc) on his way to Mr. Kaufman’s walled city. Once there, Mr. Kaufman asks Jack to help him clean up Fiddler’s Green, a luxury condominium tower. This is where the game ends, and the movie picks things up.

Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler’s Green features an interesting limb specific damage system, meaning the player can literally blow the undead to pieces. It also features multiplayer over Xbox live, system link and Internet (PC).
