Description

Future technology paved way to the creation of hovercrafts, which began to gradually replace motorized vehicles. Ben is the leader of the Polecats, one of the toughest biker gangs on the road. One day he drives over and damages a hovercraft limousine which belongs to Malcolm Corley, owner of Corley Motors, the last domestic motorcycle manufacturer. Later, Ben is having a bit of good clean fun at the Kick Stand Bar when Corley drops by for a bit of reminiscing. This leads to a meeting with Corley Motors’ vice president Adrian Ripburger, who has his own sinister plans concerning the company, the Polecats, and the future of motorized vehicles. Ben refuses to co-operate and must now face the consequences and do everything in his power to bring Ripburger to justice.

Full Throttle is a third-person puzzle-solving adventure game. The graphics are cartoon-style, similarly to LucasArts’ previous adventure games Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max Hit The Road. The game features a revamped interface: instead of choosing a command verb or an action icon and then interacting with an object, the player can now simply point at it, and the available action icons will appear automatically. Pac-Man – Adventures in Time

Description

Ghosts Inky and Clyde steal a golden power pellet known as the Artifact, under the command of a shadowy creature known as Mollusc. Mollusc smashes the Artifact; the result of the explosion scatters the Artifact’s four fragmented pieces across time and space. Professor Pac-Man wakes up Pac-Man from his sleep and alerts him about the crisis. Professor Pac-Man prepares a hastily constructed time machine for Pac-Man that allows him to travel through time and recover the Artifact pieces.

Pac-Man travels through various time periods, including prehistoric times, Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, and the Wild West. Pac-Man eventually obtains all the artifact pieces; the time machine malfunctions and sends him to the future; with Professor Pac-Man stating that an alternate power source is needed to correctly power the time machine and bring Pac-Man back to the present. Pac-Man reaches the Reactor Core of a station and is able to harness its energy to be finally transported back to his own time period, with the Artifact reassembled.

Pac-Man returns to the present, arriving directly at the second after Mollusc breaks the original Artifact. Pac-Man uses the repaired Artifact to fire a beam that disintegrates Mollusc. …

Nightmare Ned

Description

Nightmare Ned is a puzzle-solving game presented as a platformer. Players control Ned who comes home from school and finds out through a note that his parents will be late. He uses the freedom to play games, but a thunderstorm frightens him and he goes to sleep. Strange things happen as a mysterious force drags Ned into a nightmare world. There, he can access five portals that lead to different worlds: The Graveyard, The Alcatraz Elementary School, The Medical Nightmare, The Attic, Basement and Beyond, and The Bathroom. These are all based on locations Ned knows in real life and they are connected to his fears. He meets regular characters but also different kinds of monsters. In the Elementary School level for instance Ned interacts with chalk drawings on a blackboard as they come to life. There are also often animated sequences.

To complete a portal Ned has to perform various tasks. His progress is shown through the shadow creatures as there is one in each world. Whenever Ned completes a part, the creature changes and eventually it becomes someone Ned knows from the real world and is connected to his fears. Not all puzzles need to be solved right away, but when a portal is left eight times without using a secret passage directly to another world, the game has a different ending. For a good ending Ned has to face all his fears and wake up unafraid.

The tasks, quests and puzzles can be completed through his platforming skills, including running, jumping and hanging from ledges, and interacting with the environment. Ned can use a yo-yo to attack, or use it to push buttons or interact with creatures and objects. …

Description

de Blob 2’s story starts off with the central location, Prisma City, and its upcoming general election following the events of the first game. A mysterious priest called Papa Blanc deviously plans to rig the elections in order to gain power. Once successful, it is revealed that he is in fact working for the evil corporation from previous games, The INKT Corporation. With this success, he begins to drain colour from the cities as well as the inhabitants, in order to uniform the world in a total lack of colour and uniqueness. It is up to our hero Blob and the members of the Colour Underground to restore the city to its vibrant former glory. Blob frees the lands one by one, rescuing and reuniting friends along the way. It is his mission to restore the world to colour, free the population, and stop the mysterious INKT Corporation once again.

Unlike the original de Blob console version the sequel is multi-platform. As such the controls have been wildly updated, no longer making use of the Wii motion controls, in favour of a more standardised console control scheme. The same colour changing mechanics from the first game return, Blob is given/finds a paint colour and absorbs it into his body. What follows is a platforming, sliding style of gameplay as he paints the world these various colours. Another first for the series is a competitive multiplayer mode, where up to two Blobs fight to paint the world quickest, and accrue points in doing so. Description

Broken Sword 2.5: The Return of the Templars is a fan made sequel to continue the storyline after the first two games in the Broken Sword adventure series, and ties up the events leading up to the third game. Like the first two games, a 2d view is used with point-and-click gameplay instead of the full 3d from the later games.

The series’ protagonist George Stobbart leaves Nico for one year because of an important trip to the USA. During that time, his grandfather dies of cancer. While in the USA, he receives a telegram from France detailing the death of Nico. Bewildered, he hastily travels back to France only to discover Nico is still alive and not surprised about the telegram at all. The unexpected reunion does not please her and she asks him to leave immediately. While at Cafe della Chandelle Verte in Paris trying to put everything together, George receives an alarming message from French inspector André Lobineau about Nico. Your task is to rescue the Lemmings across 120 levels of fast-paced puzzling. These creatures simply walk blindly through the world in the hope of reaching safety at the end of the level – unfortunately, these levels include steep drops, gaps in the ground, barriers, and rivers amongst other hazards.

You are in control not of any individual Lemming, but of a cross-hair, which can be moved over any of the Lemmings. Along the bottom is a selection of functions that can be assigned to a Lemming, including climbing, floating, and bashing. You must click to select the appropriate function, then click on the Lemming to activate it. Broken Sword 4 – The Angel of Death

Secrets of the Ark (The Angel of Death in the UK) is the fourth game in the Broken Sword series. It is the first not fully developed by Revolution Software Ltd. Instead, they outsourced the art and programming to Sumo Digital Ltd., which already provided consultancy on the PS2 and Xbox version of the third game, The Sleeping Dragon. Charles Cecil still wrote the story and oversaw development however. Unlike the previous game, it is now only available for the Windows platform.

Keeping to the tradition of ancient mysteries, hero George Stobbard needs to expose an old rivalry between powerful factions as he chases after a manuscript Moses used to construct The Angel of Death. This powerful weapon was the final of the ten plagues that brought the Pharaoh to his knees and allowed Moses to start the Exodus as he freed the Israelites from bondage in Egypt. The factions are especially interested in the mysterious substance “mfkzt”, referenced in the manuscript but forgotten for thousands of years. …
