The player is the main character, Siegfried, who is called upon by Wotan, the king of the gods, to fulfill his destiny. In this segment, Siegfried will boldly challenge the gods of power themselves and ultimately cause the end of their reign.

There are significant interface differences compared to the first game, Ring: The Legend of the Nibelungen. Riven – The Sequel to Myst

Description

After the Stranger has rescued Atrus, the master of “linking books”, from the imprisonment caused by his sons, a new task awaits the hero. Atrus’s wife, Catherine, has been taken by Gehn, his own father. Gehn has appointed himself as the one to rule the Age of Riven, and has driven his world to collapse. Now he holds Catherine hostage on Riven, hoping that his son will restore the book link to the Age and free him from there. The Stranger is requested by Atrus to travel to Riven and find a way to rescue Catherine.

Riven is a sequel to Myst, and is very similar to its predecessor in gameplay style, controls, and visual presentation. The game world is presented as a series of computer-generated still screens; the player explores it in a point-and-click fashion. Interaction with the environment is possible only when said environment is highlighted as a “hot spot”, and is also performed by simple clicking. In addition to being able to shoot his fists, he can use his hair to hover like a helicopter, and even glide on air currents in certain places. He can occasionally find special power ups that grant him unlimited flying power, giving him the ability to navigate through tricky mazes.

Resident Evil 5

Description

Chris Redfield returns to the series as the main character in Resident Evil 5, a game which takes place five years after Resident Evil 4. He is sent to Kijuju, Africa, where local agent Sheva Alomar joins him in the mission to apprehend Ricardo Irwing, who is trying to sell bio-weapons in the black market. Soon they are attacked by hordes of locals infected by an improved version of the “las plagas” parasite seen in Resident Evil 4, which they call “majini”. As the story progresses, Chris discovers that some old fellows are behind the whole incident.

As well as including the concept of the “las plagas” parasite, this fifth part of the series also brings back the novel gameplay from the previous game. With an over the shoulder view, Chris confronts hordes of infected enemies that can throw objects and even shoot at you. They can be repelled with various guns, grenades, or using the knife and melee attacks if they get too close. This time though, Chris has a partner, Sheva, who accompanies him through all the game and can be controlled by a second player, with both characters having to keep an eye on each other to survive.
