Pirates of the Caribbean (Sea Dogs 2)

Description

After a fierce storm, Captain Nathaniel Hawk arrives on the island of Oxbay. His first mate Malcolm Hatcher is retiring, and so Hawk must hire a new first mate and crew. As he leaves Oxbay, a French armada attacks the colony and captures it. Hawk manages to slip away and warn the English governor on Redmond Island, Robert Christopher Silehard, that Oxbay was attacked. The governor sends Hawk on a series of quests to aid him in the war against France: Nathaniel is sent to investigate the condition in Oxbay; prevent a supply ship from reaching Oxbay; unload English troops in the jungles of Oxbay and rescue the English spy from the clutches of the French.

While preparing for his next quest – annexing Oxbay, Nathaniel meets his old friends: Danielle Greene and Ralph Fawn. However, Ralph is killed when the soldiers arrive to arrest Danielle and Nathaniel himself is captured and imprisoned. While in prison he gets to know an old ex-cannoneer Edgar Attwood who was fired for drinking too much rum. He can be later hired by the player into his crew. Some time later, governor Silehard arrives and tells Nathaniel that a big mistake has occurred. He sends Nathaniel Hawk on another series of quests until Nathaniel meets an old inventor who aids him in finding a treasure that could defeat the ghost ship called the Black Pearl. In the final end game mission, Captain Hawk is confronted by the Black Pearl. Only during this fight can the Black Pearl be damaged. When the fight ends, the game is complete. …

Description

The fantasy world of Gothos is populated by two kinds of people: the Dreamers, who are capable of using magic, and the Steamers, whose civilization relies on technology. The two peoples live in separate areas, mistrust each other, and usually avoid contact. But more often than not, natural human feelings are stronger than anything else. A Steamer man and a Dreamer woman fell in love with each other, and the fruit of their passion was a boy whom they named Melvin. The latter grew up in Dreamertown, disliked and suspected by its inhabitants because of his mixed blood. As monsters suddenly attacked the town, Melvin was blamed for it, and expelled from his homeland. He decides to venture into the land of the Steamers and find his missing father. Dart, a brave and loyal warrior swordsman, has sworn to avenge the death of his parents by destroying the mysterious black monster. For unknown reasons, the Sandora Empire burns down his village and imprisons his childhood friend, Shana. Straight away Dart sets out on a journey to rescue her, but Shana’s kidnapping is merely the tip of the iceberg of a much grander, more sinister plot about ancient spiritual powers and the destruction of the human race.

The Legend of Dragoon is a Japanese-style RPG, visually reminiscent of Final Fantasy VII (pre-rendered backgrounds, 3D characters and battle scenes, CG animations to advance the story). Battle mechanics follow the traditional turn-based prototype, with a few additions such as critical attacks dependent on precise timing, and “dragoon” transformations, which allow access to powerful techniques. Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring takes the highly acclaimed, much loved Fantasy story, written by J.R.R. Tolkien and converts it into a Real Time Strategy game. In it, you can choose to lead the forces of Good or the forces of Evil as each struggle to control the One Ring.

The game is split into two 10-mission campaigns, giving you the chance to take a look at some of the aspects of the LOTR storyline that weren’t focused in the books. In the Good campaign, you follow Legolas, Gimli and Boromir as manage to show up in Rivendell just in time to join the Fellowship of the Ring. In the Evil campaign, you must lead the forces of Sauron, break out of Mordor and besiege the city of Minas Tirith.

Instead of being based on the movie license, the game is devoted exclusively to the books, so you will not hear the actors from the movies in the game. …

Description

The demon known as The Sleeper has been banished and the magical barrier around the prison mining colony on the isle of Khorinis destroyed. The nameless hero who accomplished this, however, had to pay a high price: he lies buried under a pile of rocks.

Shortly afterwards he is revived by the renegade mage Xardas. A new threat is rising: evil armies, led by dragons, are gathering in the old mine valley. Someone has to take the news to the people of Khorinis and help them in defeating this menace. But the people have their own problems: the war against the orcs is still raging on the mainland, and the king has sent his paladins to Khorinis to make sure that the mining of the magical ore continues, now that the prisoners have fled the mine.
