Sim Theme Park (Theme Park World)

Description

Sim Theme Park is the sequel to Theme Park and the second game in the series. It is a theme park management game where players build their own theme park with roller coasters, rides and food stalls. Each building can be customized for its appearance, prices and also the length of the ride. Roller coasters play an important role as the main attraction for visitors. Players can design a custom ride and then test it from a first-person view.

In this version the park can be built in four different worlds: Lost Kingdom (prehistoric theme), Halloween World (spooky theme), Wonderland (fantasy theme) and Space Zone (futuristic theme). The game boasts 3D graphics and players can walk around in their park as if they were one of the guests, and go on the rides. Golden Tickets can be won by doing great things to the park and these can be used to buy new rides and parks. …

SimCity 4

Description

The most noticeable change in the fourth main game in the series comes through the new graphics, now in full 3D. The basic goal remains the same: build the ultimate city. You do this by balancing funding of community services with taxes, transit fares, and other forms of income.

But now you have more options. The new god mode tools allow you to sculpt a realistic terrain in seconds. And now disasters won’t happen in random locations, you choose where to unleash them. There are all new buildings, and the gameplay is a bit more challenging this time: you have to actually start small, the way a real city is developed, or you’ll run out of money. You can also import people from The Sims and insert them into your city, and have them give you feedback.

Your advisors are improved. They too are in full 3D, and they won’t annoy you as much. They will provide you with helpful advice, and you can listen to them or annoy them to the point that they all turn into llamas. Literally. …

South Park Rally

Description

Choose your character from the cast of the popular ‘mature’ cartoon South Park, and tear through the streets in this racing game. Your character’s vehicle may be a little cart, trike, or box, for example. Weapons include rockets, Salty Balls, Cheesy Poofs, the beloved Cow and even an Anal probe. All of the voices are also included, making it feel more like the real cartoon than a rally game. You can also play an all-on-all 4 player mode. …

Scorched Planet

Description

In Scorched Planet the player takes the role of Commander Alex Gibson who has to defend the earth colony Dator 5 from alien invaders. He uses a combat vehicle which is a hybrid between a heavy armed aircraft and a heavy armed tank. It can always drive but needs fuel for flying.

But the main aspect isn’t just to kill the aliens. On every continent are settlers who have to be evacuated. The locations of these people are marked on the map, and when landing near them the player takes them in his vehicle and flies to a dimension gate to rescue them. But there is a maximum of five people per ride. The aliens aren’t very happy about Gibson’s efforts and so they try to kidnap the humans with their big freighters. Additionally they use giant spiders which infect the humans and transform them into willingness creatures. These zombies infect other humans by contact and explode after two minutes. But there is a antidote which the player gets by destroying a spider. It is used by throwing it into a crowd of infected people. Other aliens give other extras when destroyed, e.g. weapons, shield energy or invulnerability. …

Sonic 3D Blast (1997)

Description

While visiting Flicky Island, Sonic notices that the Flickies, his small, feathered friends that can travel between parallel worlds, were captured and turned into badniks (the robot enemies of Sonic) by Dr. Robotnik in his never-ending quest for the Chaos Emeralds. Seven levels separate Sonic from the final showdown with Robotnik.

Sonic 3D was the last Sonic title released for the Mega Drive, the only platforming presence of the blue blur in the Sega Saturn, and one of his rare appearances in Personal Computers. The title, considering the era it was released, is somewhat misleading, as instead of full blown 3D graphics it uses an isometric view where Sonic can move not only forwards and backwards, but also left and right. …

Sonic Adventure DX (2004)

Description

Sonic Adventure DX is a cartoon third-person platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega and Activision Value, and was released for PC on September 14, 2004. It was the first mainline Sonic the Hedgehog game that brought the series into 3D.

The original Sonic Adventure, released in Japan on December 23, 1998 and localized for North America, Europe, and Australia between September–December of 1999, was notable for not only bringing the Sonic the Hedgehog series in 3D, it brought a larger emphasis on story elements, featuring full voice-acting with cutscenes animated in-engine and through FMV sequences. The game also featured six playable characters, each with their own unique gameplay styles and perspectives of the game’s story. …
