Vivisector – Beast Within

Description

A team of navy seals investigating a series of strange reports from Soreo, a desolate volcanic island somewhere in the Pacific, have gone missing. Kurt Robinson and his team are sent out to reestablish contact and to find out just what truth is behind those reports… Bit by bit, the history of the island and its inhabitants will be uncovered – as will Kurt Robinson’s role in it.

Vivisector: Beast Within is a first-person shooter which has players exploring some thirty-odd levels ranging from beaches and jungles to the snow covered heights of an inactive volcano. They’ll be forced to face a literal army of various engineered animals, from canines with lightning rods on their backs and metal reinforced fangs to the Rhino-truck, to various half-breed like Gepardmen, which utilize Ninja-like mortal combat techniques, or various types of Wolfmen, which field different types of heavy weaponry.

The player, in turn, gets access to an arsenal ranging from a standard combat knife and Pistol to more advanced weaponry, such as machine guns, plasma rifles, and a handheld Howitzer. …

This first-person shooter takes you straight to the jungle on ‘Nam, in the heat of the battle where your only ally is your ability to blend onto surroundings. Wether through singleplayer mission or multiplayer mode, you will experience what it means to be in boots of an american soldier (or vietnamese in multiplayer) and relying upon the rest of your team. You can issue orders to your team members, plan your attack, deactivate possible traps, call in an airstrike, pick up enemy weapons, and more. Aside the suspenseful storyline, the multiplayer is extended to provide you with several well designed maps on which you can select several different gameplay methods, from clearing the ruins of enemy presence in coop mode, and protecting the relay station while enemy (either other players of computer AI) is marching attack upon you, to typical capture the flag and deathmatch modes. The weapon arsenal is wide enough, though you can only hold up to one knife (regular item), one hand gun (that means if you wanna pick up enemy’s gun, you’ll have to throw down yours), one machine gun (sniper, M16, shotgun, or such stuff), grenades, and possibly a map or some medicaments.
